What students are missing from their school during this pandemic?

In this blog, I would like to highlight what students are missing from their schools, because of the Covid 19 Pandemic. The pandemic has opened a whole new window, for ways students can be educated or schooled even if they do not attend classes physically.

The online education era is what I would like to call or refer to in this situation. state board schools in Rajaji Nagar - Bangalore colleges & educational institutes all around the world were affected due to the lockdown following the pandemic and were forced to shut down for a while siting the social distancing norms. This has in some ways proven to be advantageous and, in some ways, has some disadvantages also.

Schooling can never be the same online. Period. Students and teachers cannot have the same interaction they did physically by way of online classes. Also, teachers worldwide took the time to get accustomed to teaching students online, with the same amount of effectiveness.

What students actually missed due to online classes?

So, firstly students missed school. Even if the teaching never stopped, the actual routine of going to school every day was not an option. Many students faced difficulties to adjust to the online classes, because they were not able to bring in the same amount of dedication they did, during physical classes.

To be honest, one actually cannot be under the same influence or ambiance of a physical class. Teachers also complained, that students were taking the online classes very lightly and did not maintain decorum for the same. This will in fact affect the overall learning of the student, for which they will have to dedicate more time and effort during exams. The RES School in Rajajinagar, which is a very well-known institute in my locality. My daughter studies there. The school has put in major efforts to regularise the gap for students whose studies have been affected due to the pandemic.

Apart from the classes, students missed the sports and extra-curricular activities in school. The number of sports and play that was missed during this time cannot be compensated in any way. The students also missed the daily routine of going to school.

From the recent 1 or 2 months, the world is getting back to normal. Governments all around the world and in Bangalore have decided to reopen schools and colleges for regular classes. Many institutions have already opened with SOP’s to maintain social distancing and sanitization norms.

Conclusion

For my reference the RES school has now started to allow students to come to school physically to attend classes and get back to the normal routine of school, from the past few weeks. Schools and colleges such as RES are making it an effort to get back to track so that the studies and schooling of children are not compromised what so ever.
